Only hours before drawing for NOOK, Victoria's Secret Gift Card and more celebrating the release of this HAWT paranormal romance featuring exotic and erotic leopard shifters.

All it takes is one mistake to be marked. One bite, she crosses a line...into forever.

Diana Hambre's body is blazing. For days, this leopardess shifter has spun through a body-searing heat cycle. Alone. Her senses reel when Shawn Barclay, her boss, walks into her reserved room at the Downtown Den, a stud club for shifters. He gives Diana a choice: spend the evening with him, give into his every desire, and she'll find out what it means to quench her heat-crazed thirst—or try her luck with a stranger, one of the club bangers.
Shawn hates when his back is against the wall. One sip of Diana’s pheromone-laced scent is enough to force his alpha hand. The tables have turned and it's Diana's back he wants up against a wall or any other surface for that matter.
As the moon rises toward midnight, Shawn and Diana come to understand the difference between sex and bonding. For a night, neither resists their primal instincts, blindly giving into carnal desire. Her wild nature fights being subdued and she risks spontaneously shifting without warning.
Now, bearing Shawn's bite marks, she can’t simply walk away from him; not when he has the means to teach her to harness her leopardess nature.
Shawn accepts the challenge of training Diana to control her untamed cravings. While employing every method available in and out of the bedroom, he discovers he's the one on the verge being ensnared.

“Suck me harder, sweetheart.” Shawn’s voice was an inhuman, hoarse whisper. He stopped tonguing her pussy and held her head. He fucked her mouth, pumping and thrusting across her lips.

She adored the feel of his cock in her mouth and did as he instructed. Diana ran her claws across his flesh.

He followed suit, rasping the tips of his nails over her skin. Shivers broke out from the tiny pain-pleasure scratches over her skin. His muscles quivered around her. His scent filled her mouth and head. She could savor him without fear and, at this moment, had to taste his orgasm. A savage hunger tore into her.

Previously, her mouth had been a safe spot on her body where an alpha’s semen couldn’t cross her physical barrier. Yet now, her whole body convulsed and shifted, a sign of error in her judgment. This man was different. Her leopardess nature pushed outward. She told herself she must absorb his musky scent and taste if only to recognize his marking in the world beyond this room. He pulled out of her mouth and her leopardess mind quaked in frustration, on the edge of claiming her mate.

“No,” she roared. Her pelt rippled and she shook, flexing feline muscles. Spontaneously she’d let go and shifted. The experience was more than exhilarating. On all fours, she crouched next to him on the futon. Her long tail slapped against the wall. Never had shifting felt this powerful. She licked his face, stared at him from behind twitching whiskers, and she flicked her tail, snapping his leg.

“Diana, reel in your leopardess nature. Come back to me.” His whispered command eased her nature.

“Now, sweetheart.” He rubbed his thumb on the ridge between her eyes, then petted the side of her cheek. She could feel his essence without responding to the content of his words. Deep within her, primitive instinct was a force that drove her, and she responded by purring and rubbing up against him, marking her scent over him.

Shawn’s voice lulled her. She calmed instantly. Acquiesced. Her animal and human forms flickered.

The scent she released as leopardess would be near impossible for him to resist. She dropped beside him, blinking, and lowered her lids. For him, she began the process of shifting back. She hissed, and then moaned, curling up next to him.

“I’m sorry,” she said, opening her eyes and contemplating him. This was the first time she had shifted in front of an alpha male for over a year. Was Shawn taken back at her lack of control?

Her fur receded, emitting sparks of energy over the length of her skin, tightening and smoothing into her human form. Her claws got caught in the futon. She tugged each curved spike free, then focused and steadied her nature. “I understand if we shift during sex, things will get away from us.”

Sexy cowboy meets dance teacher hottie in THE COWBOY RODE A HARLEY by Susan Arden

Wednesday, August 7, 2013

Reality dance show contestant meets her match
in one of the smoking McLemore brothers.

Stephen McLemore was Mr. Wrong in Gillian's book.
A love 'em-leave'em cowboy.
In one unguarded kiss, sparks fly
and they both stop fighting their sizzling chemistry.
Selected for a Hollywood show, Gillian starts to wonder if leaving town is her dream,
when a Harley riding rancher has all the right moves.
“I know that’s not what you want. Why don’t you tell me what it is you seeing happening between us? I mean, what you’d find agreeable,” Stephen said.
“You don’t date. So—”
“Wait. Who says I don’t date? I can date a woman.”
Gillian laughed in his face. “Name a woman you’ve recently dated.”
The back of his neck heated and something sucker-punched him in the lungs, forcing him to expel a shallow breath. Sputtering, he said, “Give me a second.” But shit, she had him. He drew a blank. “Well, I haven’t met anyone of interest lately. I don’t think that means a thing.”
“It does in this discussion.”
“I can date a woman,” he repeated. “It’s not like I’m some social doofus.”
“I didn’t mean you were. I just don’t know if you realize that a lot goes into being in that frame of mind. Some guys just aren’t…cut out for the dating scene.”
“Well, then, tell me something, Miss Smarty Pants. When’s the last time you dated regularly? I mean, if it’s so gosh-darn easy.”
Her nostrils flared, and her eyes flashed green arcs of fire. “That’s not the same. And you know it.”
“Wrong. It’s exactly the same. If you’re saying you haven’t dated because you haven’t found anyone who makes you want to sit and talk, or kiss, then, yes. It. Is. Exactly the same.”
She paused, seeming to consider his words. He scrambled, not about to lose traction now that he’d gotten his foot in the door. “Christ sakes. Gillian, come out with me on a date. Anywhere you’d like. You name it. How about a fancy restaurant in Clarkesville as our first date? French cuisine and candles. I imagine that’s what a girl like you’d prefer.”
“Oh, really. A girl like me.” She side-glanced him and he knew he had her. “I don’t know about that…as a first date?”
“Then tell me. What would you like to do? What are you doing anyway, this weekend? One date, and you can give me pointers for the future.” He squeezed her fingertips, shaking her arms.
“There’s the county fair. I’ve been meaning to go. Some of my students are performing.”
He’d not been to a fair since he was a kid. But he’d walk across hot coals or balance on a tightrope if it meant she’d agree to a date. “You’re on. When would you like to go?”
“How about this Friday evening? Say, after dark.”
“I don’t have anything to write your telephone number down.”
“Jeez, Stephen. How long has it been since you’ve dated?” She shook her head, giving his arm a squeeze. “Give me your phone and I’ll infrared my info into your contact list.”
He reached into his pocket, taking out his phone and placing it into her waiting palm.
“A while. But you agreed, so no backing out.”
“Don’t worry. I’m not backing out. We’ve already discussed that neither you nor I fit the mold of normal dating people. I’ll check my expectations at the door, if you do the same.”
He stuck out his hand, eager to close this deal. “Agreed.”
This blazing Western just released!

Success: The Importance of Daydreaming and a Quiz

Saturday, August 3, 2013

Our culture is all about achievement. Meeting up with family, friends, co-workers and we're asked what's shaking. On the receiving end, I'm always scrambling to summarize my life events including spouse's, children's, heck even are pets are discussed as achievement oriented. We've all been there.

Yet in all this hullabaloo, when have we been asked what are we dreaming? Or the contents of our last fantasy? How about the status of our daydreams? Zilch.

Sure, in order to succeed we must stay the stay, realize it's the longevity of the race, and even during the darkest hour, we must continue as though the light were blazing. Faith, persistence, and loyalty to the cause are what make a champion.

In all this glory, we must remember that in order to have a goal, we must have a vision. And where does this imagery come from?

pockysworld Source:

The moments you least find goal oriented. During those times we slip away from conscious planning and our mind is free to wander. Daydreaming is mind play. Forming connections in fluid free-fall, our imagings are the point at which our brilliance is born.

Here's four quotes: Match the quote with the speaker
Choices: (a) Neil Gaiman, (b) Gloria Steinem, (c)Albert Einstein, and (d) Oscar Wilde

(1) “Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.”

(2)“Without leaps of imagination or dreaming, we lose the excitement of possibilities. Dreaming, after all is a form of planning.”

 (3) “You get ideas from daydreaming. You get ideas from being bored. You get ideas all the time. The only difference between writers and other people is we notice when we're doing it.”

(4) “Yes: I am a dreamer. For a dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.”
Curious about the status of your own imagination? Maybe, maybe not. Well if you are here's two quizzes. One fun and games; the other a bit more career flavored. Enjoy!
